Application of HDCY high efficiency thickener in tailings thickening process


Abstract

The tailings in the production workshop of an iron ore dressing plant in Liaoning were designed to be discharged to the tailings pond in the early stage. The tailings volume in the dressing plant is 1000TPH (dry basis). As the storage capacity of the tailings pond is gradually full, in order to realize the comprehensive utilization of tailings water to the greatest extent and reduce the storage capacity pressure of the tailings pond, the dry discharge process of cyclone dewatering screen thickener filter press is proposed to be adopted.
Project Background

The tailings in the production workshop of an iron ore dressing plant in Liaoning were designed to be discharged to the tailings pond in the early stage. The tailings volume in the dressing plant is 1000TPH (dry basis). As the storage capacity of the tailings pond is gradually full, in order to realize the comprehensive utilization of tailings water to the greatest extent and reduce the storage capacity pressure of the tailings pond, the dry discharge process of cyclone + dewatering screen + thickener + filter press is proposed. After the tailings of the concentrator are classified and concentrated by the classifying cyclone, the underflow of the cyclone is fed to the dewatering vibrating screen, and the overflow of the cyclone is directly dry discharged. The underflow is mixed with the overflow of the cyclone (the mixed concentration is 9-11%) as the dry tailings and fed to the thickener for concentration treatment. The concentrated concentration reaches 35-45% and is discharged through the underflow port, and is pumped to the filter press for deep dewatering. As the core equipment of this set of dry discharge process, the thickener requires high performance of the equipment. The project makes full use of the advantage of large processing capacity of HDCY thickener, and finally adopts a 50m diameter HDCY high-efficiency thickener instead of the originally designed two 50m diameter domestic common thickeners. The project will start construction in 2022 and put into operation in early 2023.

 

 

Huade Venture is responsible for the design, production, installation and commissioning of the 50mHDCY high-efficiency thickener supporting this project. The design capacity is 1000tph. The pool body is designed with steel structure flexibility. The hydraulic center is driven by a single head. The peak torque is as high as 13000000Nm, the power is 18.5kw, the rake frame speed is 0.064rpm, the side wall height is 3.5m, and the cone angle is 9.5. The drive reducer is imported from Italian Dinamic imported from Danish Danfoss, A flocculant addition and preparation system is provided.

To achieve the effect

 

 

1) The treatment capacity is large, with the treatment capacity per unit area as high as 0.51t/㎡ h. A single 50-meter thickener can treat more than 10000 m/h of pulp and less than 300ppm of overflow clarity, thus realizing high-standard backwater utilization;

2) Central drive structure, single-head high-torque hydraulic drive system, multiple anti-pressure rake design, improve equipment safety and reliability;

3) The pool body adopts steel structure flexible design, the thickness of the pool wall and the pool bottom is only 6mm, the equipment is compact and simple, and the bottom is only supported by 4*24 columns;

4) Three-dimensional space structure design, using the large space at the bottom of the thickener, rationally arranging the central control room, flocculant adding system, conference room, lounge, etc., to improve space utilization and save land resources;

5) The equipment has a high degree of automatic control, basically unattended, and the central control system can complete all-round control and real-time monitoring of the equipment.

Iron and steel smelting sintering pellet flue gas wet desulfurization wastewater treatment


The desulfurization system of the original sintering plant is not equipped with desulfurization wastewater treatment system, and the desulfurization wastewater is discharged into the sewage treatment system of the whole plant after comprehensive treatment. Due to the high content of suspended solids, high TDS content and serious excessive heavy metals, the original sewage treatment system of the whole plant has a great impact.
